Pozi – Australian Made

Pozi is an Australian made, Australian owned and Australian supported web GIS platform. We are licensed to carry the Australian Made logo, independent certification of what has been true since the beginning: Pozi is designed, developed and supported here in Australia, by the team behind the product.

Pozi was built for Australian local government, and today it serves the wider community of organisations that work with spatial information: utilities, engineering and infrastructure, environmental management, and planning and land development. For all of them, Australian ownership is more than a badge. It shapes where your data is governed, who answers when you need help, and whose priorities drive the product you rely on every day.

Why it matters for your organisation

Your data, governed close to home

Spatial data is core organisational data: property information, assets, networks, planning layers, environmental features. When your IT and governance teams ask where that data lives and which laws apply to it, an Australian owned platform gives you short, straightforward answers, with the people accountable for them here in Australia rather than overseas.

Local support, in your region

When you contact Pozi, you reach a local Australian team that knows the product deeply and understands the environment it works in, whether that is a council, a utility, or a development project. Support is delivered through Pozi’s reseller network, backed by online documentation and the Pozi Community, so help is close at hand and comes from people who understand your region.

Your investment stays in Australia

Pozi licence fees stay in the Australian economy, funding the local team and the ongoing development of a platform made for the way Australian organisations manage places, assets and land. Where your software budget goes is part of its value, and with Pozi it stays close to the communities it serves.

Built in Australia, from the beginning

Pozi began as Groundtruth, a consultancy founded in 1999 to help Victorian councils get more from their Geographic Information Systems. A decade of that work taught us what teams actually need from GIS: simplicity, openness and information that anyone in the organisation can use, not just specialists.

In 2009 we went beyond advice and built our own answer: Pozi, with a vision to re-imagine GIS for the web. The same qualities that make it work for local government, clarity, simplicity and trusted data, make it work for anyone who needs to understand a place before making a decision about it.

In 2019 the business rebranded fully to Pozi, and more recently a renewed local investment has accelerated its development. Today Pozi is driven forward by an Australian team, with new capability shipping regularly. This is a product with real momentum behind it, still grounded in more than two decades of working alongside Australian organisations, but moving faster than ever to meet what they need now.

Australian planning information, workflows and data standards are not a customisation of a global product. They are what Pozi is built around.

What Australian Made certification means

The Australian Made logo is not a claim we make about ourselves. It is an independent, third-party certification administered by the Australian Made Campaign, with strict criteria a product must meet to carry it. The logo is Australia’s most recognised country of origin symbol, and it means the local story behind Pozi is verified, not just stated.

What is Pozi?

Pozi is a web-based GIS platform that helps organisations view, share and act on their spatial data through a simple web browser, with no specialist software to install. It removes much of the cost and complexity of traditional desktop GIS, making spatial information accessible across the whole organisation.
